Installation/Security/App

  • As the administrator that installed the package click the app launcher icon and select the Slydeck App.
  • Go to the Settings tab.

 

  • If it’s the first time you install the package
    • Click the Generate Linked Account button.
    • Download the Security Token supplied after the activation and keep it in a safe place (You will need this token to delete or reactivate your account in the future).

 

  • If you are reactivating your account
    • Copy your Security Token and paste it on the optional input above the Generate Linked Account button.
    • Click the Generate Linked Account button. (You should see your previous customization settings configured)
  • As the administrator of the org click the app launcher icon and select the Slydeck App.
  • Go to the Settings tab.
  • Scroll down and click the Delete Account button.
  • Input the required confirmation message DELETE ACCOUNT in the prompted dialog.
  • Copy and paste your Security Token on the required prompt.
  • If the token is correct and the deletion finished you should see the created linked account form and all your slydeck files and viewing metrics will be erased.
  • As the administrator of the org click the app launcher icon and select the Slydeck App.
  • Go to the Settings tab.
  • Upload a new logo on the Set the custom logo input field.
  • Toggle the Use custom brand logo on viewer option.

(Optional) input your homepage or any relevant website Url on the Use custom link for your brand logo and click Save Url.

  • As the administrator of the org click the app launcher icon and select the Slydeck App.
  • Go to the Settings tab.

Toggle the Use branded sharing links option.

(You’ll need the Manage Package Licenses permission and access to the Slydeck’s Settings tab, make sure to have licenses left to assign)

  • In Setup go the Users module.
  • Select the desired user to grant access.
  • In the Permission Sets Assignments section click Edit Assignments.
  • Select the Slydeck Standard Access from the list from Available to Enabled.
  • Click Save.
  • In the Managed Packages section click Assign Licenses.
  • Check the Slydeck.io package checkbox and click Add.

 

  • (Can be done in Account, Lead, Campaign and Opportunity objects) Go to a desired object record page and click the cog icon on the top right, click the Edit Page option from the menu.
  • In the components list look under the Custom – Managed section for the Slydeck component.
  • Drag it into the layout on the place that better suits your usage.
  • If you want to let free access to every user to upload and share files, just Save the page.
    • If you want to let only users with the right permission to do this:
    • Click the Slydeck component and on the right panel click the Add Filter option.
    • Click the Advanced tab and the Select button under the Field label.
    • Choose Permissions -> Custom Permissions -> Slydeck.Display_Slydeck_Component and Done -> Done.
    • To finish Save the page and assign is as your user/org/app default layout.
  • Click the cog icon on the top right, click the Edit Page option from the menu.
  • Click the Slydeck component and on the right panel click the Add Filter option.
  • Click the Advanced tab and the Select button under the Field label.
  • Choose Permissions -> Custom Permissions -> Slydeck.Display_Slydeck_Component then click Done -> Done.
  • To finish Save the page and assign is as your user/org/app default layout.
  • As the administrator of the org click the app launcher icon and select the Slydeck App.
  • Go to the Settings tab.
  • Toggle the Allow SalesForce’s Files Sharing option.
  • Now the Slydeck Sharing Component will display the salesforce files on their list and search results to be shared as a normal Slydeck file.
  • As the administrator of the org click the app launcher icon and select the Slydeck App.
  • Go to the Settings tab.
  • Click the Download Security Token button (the icon button on the top right of the row with the download icon) on the Account Settings section, 
  • Click the Download button on the modal.
